Mer mediabias

Att South Carolinas guvernör haft en affär med en brasilianska har inte undgått svenska media (SvD 090625, DN 090625). Vilket givetvis är helt OK. Underligt är dock att det nästan alltid bara är skandaler där republikaner tas med byxorna nere som det rapporteras om. För har du, käre läsare, läst en rad i svensk media om exempelvis följande demokrater och deras handel och vandel:

• Barney Frank (...) Admitted to having paid Stephen L. Gobie, a male prostitute, for sex and subsequently hiring Gobie as his personal assistant. Gobie used the congressman's Washington apartment for prostitution. A move to expel Frank from the House of Representatives failed and a motion to censure him failed.
• John Murtha, Jr. (...) Implicated in the Abscam sting, in which FBI agents impersonating Arab businessmen offered bribes to political figures; Murtha was cited as an unindicted co-conspirator.
• Thomas Dodd (...) Censured by the Senate for financial improprieties, having diverted $116,000 in campaign and testimonial funds to his own use.

Inte? Tänkte väl det. För jag skulle tro att utrymmet i svensk press rörande dessa skandaler kan mätas i spaltmillimeter...
